Tottenham star Dele Alli has been banned for one England match for making an offensive gesture during this month's World Cup qualifying win over Slovakia. The Tottenham midfielder will be unavailable for next week's qualifier against Slovenia at Wembley after FIFA settled on a one-match ban and a £3,850 fine. Alli was caught on camera making a middle-finger gesture which he later claimed was directed at team-mate Kyle Walker rather than the referee. UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against Sporting Lisbon, after a fan ran onto the pitch, during Wednesday’s Champions League Group D game against Barcelona in Lisbon.
